Restore backup memory effect firmware?

I just got the w.s.o.d 😡 and i am about to send it to nokia repair centre..i am guessing they will upgrade the firmware, but when i get it back and restore the memory before i had w.s.o.d will the firmware go back to my old one.

No Firmware is on the ROM memory and can't be changed by urself even if the firmware is latest and u just restore the old backup u have made then just the files will copy back to "c" memory.Hence the new firmware will not be affected at all.
