Sendo X now available on Vodafone site.

this might mean that the firmware update isn't far away 😊

I've just noticed that the Sendo X is now free with any pay monthly contract on Vodaphone UK website.

Seems a bit early to be discounting the device though?

Seeing as the Vodafone handsets have a firmware which is OLDER than the current latest shipping firmware (the latest being 1.72.5.2 on Expansys UK handsets), the availability of official Vodafone handsets says nothing about the next firmware release.

I've played with official Vodafone handsets, and they have all the same bugs as the non-branded handsets have. (when it's released, Vodafone will also get the 60D firmware release!)

Are the voda sendo x's firmware modded by voda? I remember my old t610 from there was horrible! They had changed all the icons and graphics into bad looking voda ones, and just about every button took you to voda live.
I do hope they havent customised it too much.

The default theme on Voda handsets is a vodafone specific red and silver afrfair, it's actually quite nice!

Other than that, the phone hasn't been modified at all (I don't know it it's SIM locked to Voda), and the Sendo "Curves" theme is still on the phone if you want to switch back to it.

Yeah the vodaphone handsets are locked to their sim's. Although the vodaphone theme is quite nice I prefer the curves theme, much nicer than in your face red and white. The theme support really makes the sendo x much better than the rest as at least you can change the theme and your not stuck with the mobile operator chosen theme.

Too true! Mine Vodafone model arrived yesterday and is on 1.63.1.2
