Hi
Few days ago i've turned off my nokia, and then turn it back on
When i entered "My Folders" i've realised that all my saved messages
disappeared, i've had more then 1500 saved messages.
I've turned the phone off and plugged MMC into my card reader
The "Mail" folder was intact and ale the msgs are there, but i can't access them
they all are in nokia format...
Also all the software registeration and other personalized items vanished.
Is there a software that can read nokia structure files, or somehow repair my mail folder?
Second question: What is the newest firmware, where can i download it and is there a website that provides information about the newest firmwere, bugfixes etc?
Last question: Is the delay with .mid/wav ringtones fixed, when someone calls you it has 1-2seconds delay. Is the new frimware better in this matter?
Best Regards
Faq

Try going to messaging click options, settings , other then memory in use to MMC.
Firmware updating means flashing the phone, taking it to a Nokia Service Center.
Delay in playing of tone maybe due to the heavy load of programs in the phone memory leaving the tone not enough time or even space to play or cause delay in playing.

First did not work
They want 60$ for flashing new firmware
Tell me what's the newest version?
Nope, on a "fresh" phone it was just the same ...

Follow this
thread i hope it gives u a hint of the latest firmware. Remember not all newest updates are stable...
How big is the tone you're playing, sometimes its just too big (wavs) that it lags a reason why i keep my tones as midis not wavs cause sometimes it just doesnt play the sound as fast as the old nokias. 🙄
