NOKIA 7650 WITH 3650 SOFTWARE ?

I think that its not posiible since the 3650 may have the same platform but what happens to the proximity sensor and the other sensors of the phone, the sliding keypad and the MMC support?

So we have to pick the apps were we can improve the phone with from the software?

Yes that could be done! I think that apps for the 3650 are 99.% compatible with the 7650! the extra MMC slot for the 3650 will be another drive like maybe the e: drive! The MP3Go has a filemanager-like interface to make full use of the MMC meaning that in order for the app to support the 3650's MMC slot it must use a filemanager like interface!

3650 apps should work on 7650 assuming they dont use the different hardware (as mentioned above). I dont think there are any 3650 specific app out there anyway though are there?
I take it you dont mean flashing a 7650 with 3650 image - now that wont work!

I thing that only Nokia can do that! Port the BT audio profile to the 7650 that is! I hope they eventually do that, since I belive they will do that in a later 76xx model!

First of all,anyone can flash a device,you just need the proper tools and knoledge.Both,3650 and 7650 are series 60 devices,so apps made for the 3650 should work on the 7650 and vice versa.

In theory (almost) everything is possible. But in practise...

I'm at least a bit sceptic how your "upgrade" will work. There are so many things to take into account...for example available memory (capacity of flash chip) for operating system...code used for operating system...different check(sum)s for hardware in phone...etc.

No, it dont think it is possible. 3650 is with MMC, 7650 is without, 3650 has more memory than 7650 -> HW differencies -> 7650 with 3650 SW wouldn't most likely even turn on and I doubt if your "tools" will let you even do that...

Even if the individial SW applications between 3650 <-> 7650 are compatible it does not mean that 3650 SW package would work on 7650. Embedded SW releases to different HWs is a bit different thing than e.g. updating your Windows 98 to Windows 2000 😊.
