Hiding a folder in Messages

Is there any way of locking or hiding a created folder in Messages, on the 6600?
I found a s/w that will lock the inbox and sent folders.
I want to lock the folders that I have created.

I have looked into this and found nothing. There are apps which encrpyt files but this is no good as it takes too long when you want to view them.

What I would like is a simple password protection system that can be allocated to an individual folder (or file). Meaning a password needs entering before opening it. As far as I can see nothing like this exists.

A small workaround for this is to store the messages you want hidden into the memory you are not using, this way you can switch the memory in use to view your hidden messages quickly, and then back again to keep them hidden.

That is not much of a work-around, because at a time, only one memory can be used, so all your messages will go into that memory.

It would be nice if you could say "so and so folder should go to so and so memory" but you can't do that!

What Joolsvern says is exactly what I want. Isn't it possible to request some Symbian programmer in the world to do something about it? 😊
