I hope anyone who encounters this problem can share their experience and give me some pointers. 3 months ago , after a long wait, I finally got my Nokia 6600. I'm still very much enthralled by it. Unfortunately, a few days ago, I noticed that the camera functions starts showing signs of trouble.
When I wanted to take a photograph, after selecting camera, the screen starts to show horizontal lines (interference like lines). The picture displayed on the screen starts to fade and each time I tried taking a picture, the result was terrible. The image was full of horizontal lines. Now, the camera seems to almost die on me. When I pressed camera, the picture starts becoming greenish and eventually becomes very dark as if the aperture could not allow light to go in.
If anyone experience this problem and knows what could possibly be the cause, please share your experience here.

Certainly my camera (especially in night mode if the light is too bright) will fade to a point where the picture is terrible. Normally exiting Camera app. and restarting sorts it out tho.
I sometimes get the horizontal lines (they look just like intererference), but again, normally they either don't show up on the final picture, or by exiting and re-launching they're gone.
I've had two 6600s, and they've both done it. I figured it was just a problem with making a camera so small (and lets face it, the technology will be 'cheaper' than a standard digital camera)
I'd try getting it looked at by Nokia, it sounds like yours is a particularly bad one...

Thanks M but the problem that I am facing is not solved by restarting the application. It gets worse by the day. I'm currently away from my home country and since the phone is still under warranty, I'll bring it back to the service centre once I am back home.

Hi When i used to call some one and then on the Camera i can see blue lines in the screen when camera is on.It was in version 3.42 I went to Nokia Care they also don't have any solution.
Then i Upgarde my Firmware to 5.27 and not i can't face that problem.
Which Version u are using if u are using 5.27 then u must contact Nokia Care.
