here's a way to increase you volume by 50% or more thru your n-gage headset.
*Caution* this requires opening your handset.
This method uses amplification using a PNP junction.
Here is what you need,
1. PNP junction or Diode (operating voltage=3.7V)
2. Thin Wires and you can use insulated coated wires.
3. You may also need the BL-6c battery for longer battery life as this method uses some battery. not much though. it will decrease you battery life by 5 mins for every one hour of music. you may want to use BL-6C battery as it gives me 2 hours extra.
figure out the the emitter-base-collector pins of the diode and solder wires to them. solder 2 wires to each pin. then open the case, insert the diode whereever there is space. you get micro diode, so space wont be a problem. then you cut out the wires connecting the female jack. thats the black hole, where you out the black pin into. the input will have 3-4 wires. 2 wires which left speaker and 2 for right.
Left Speaker:
solder one wire from the battery( negative) and one wire from the input. now solder both these wires to the emitter of the diode.solder the other input to the base. now from the collector, solder a wire back to the female jack. and the other wire is soldered from the battery (positive)
Right speaker:
the above proceedure is repeated for the other 2 inputs too. you can use one more diode for this.
now tape both the diodes into place. and attach the headet and get quality super sound. keep the volume low.
you may want to insert another batter for the diode instead of the phone's batter. you can use some ultra thin lithium ion battery for this. i am not sure whether the fitting will be perfect, but you can pull 2 strings together here and make out which is best.
Note: I am not responsible for any damage you do to your phone. this method works perfectly on my phone and it works on 6600 and 7610 too. in the case of 6600 and 7610 , you can simply use one diode as its mono. you will need 2 diodes "only"
if your phone has stereo sound.
Note 2. there is already a diode in your headset, next to the mic, so its stage 1 amplified. when you do this, you get full 3 stages. thats around 300 % amplification.
Note 3. make sure you get high quality diodes which dont burn out. i baught some cheap ones first and they used to burn out every fews days. so i got the best and its works perfectly now without any burn out problem.
Note 4. if you dont know what anythin about electronics, i hope you wont try this out and fuck your phone. if you dont know, goto your electronic guy and ask him to amplify the sound via diode method. make sure the operating voltage is 3.6 to 3.7 volts. if its lesser, the diode will burn out, if its greater, the volume amplifiction will be too low, perhaps lower then the original sound. so be smart is selecting components.
