Operator Logo - once more

10 replies · 3,616 views · Started 09 October 2002

Well, I have the operator logo issue with my 7650 as well where the logo is stored on the SIM and prevents the downloaded logo from getting displayed

The same SIM when put in my 9210 however, is able to display the downloaded logo on the 9210.

So, is the problem with Nokia and series 60 or with the operator ??? Any luck in fixing this ??

Operator logo perhaps not, but name of service provider in some occasions yes.

This problems occurs only with service operators that rent "airspace" from other network operators and want their name displayed on-screen instead of network operator's name.

Anyway the problem can be solved, to my conclusion, only by Nokia (with software update...?).

It doesn't work with my operator either  (Sunrise - Switzerland) Just nothing happens.... I've tried this C:\system\apps.... thing and I'm pretty sure I have the right operator code (228_(0)2_0.whatever). Could anyone help, please?

kou leifoh - cools themes, any chance of showing more or do you have a webite to download these themes? 😉

It should look like this C:\system\Apps\Phone\Oplogo\228_2_0.bmp

This is for Sunrise Operator Switzerland
You can find MMC MNC Operator Name inside your Nokia 7650 at

Z:\System\bootdata\operinfo.txt

remember 228_2_0 not 228_02_0 it won' work. I use to have this problem before.

my operinfo says,
204,20,Orange NL

so my filename should be, c:\ystem\Apps\Phone\Oplogo\204_20_0.bmp
but it doesn't work, i only saw it one time when in switched from network, from belgium to netherlands.

my operator name in the phone screen says DUTCHTONE but, dutchtone = orange so, it should work like this. it doesn't

what could it be?

After you did have the op logo file in place. You need to switch off the phone and switch on. If it still doesn't work, then I suggest you to download the SeleQ program from Ximplify. SeleQ have a set op logo function in it, and then check out what really are the op logo file name. 😃
