Hey N/A,
i haven't tried Psiloc Extended File Manager myself, but i'm curious on how much difference it would make because the problem Fexplorer's experiencing is that contacts.cdb is already in use, so u can't delete it, overwrite it nor rename it.

I recently upgraded the firmware of my QD so my contacts went down the drain. Thankfully i made a backup of my contacts.cdb onto my MMC card, but it never occurred to me i couldn't copy it back in (DOH! 😡 ).

The PC Suite that came with the QD doesn't help me becoz:
1. my bluetooth dongle went kapoot so i have to go get a new one
2. i don't use any of the Email clients compatible with PC Suite so it has trouble sync'ing.

Any idea on how to copy my contacts back into the phone (preferably without using PC Suite)?

The quick way to do it is as follows -
1) make sure the contacts.cdb is in drive E
2) open Fexplorer, keep it running in the background
3) go to menu->extras->memory->backup phone memory
4) quickly, while the phone is perfoming the backup, press and hold the menu button and go to fexplorer, copy contacts.cdb from E drive, and go quickly to c:\system\data, and paste the file. it will say "file exists overrides?", say yes.
5) the contacts.cdb file is replaced, BUT you have to make sure the memory was being backed up at the same time.
DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
