6600, firmware v5.27.0, bluetooth - bugs?

Hi,

You may have read my past posts about the problem between my nokia 6600 and my sony-ericsson hbh-65.

I have tested this one 2 nokia 6600s, my one with v5.27.0 and my friends with v3.42.1

I quickly discovered that my headset works fine with my friends phone, but with mine, it beeps almost continuously, making it hard to hear the response from the voice-dial function.

I have contacted nokia to ask for a solution; but in the mean while, i would like some help - is it possible to have the firmware down-graded on a phone? if not, when will nokia produce an update to patch this bug?

For the rest of you guys out there, i feel its unnecessary to upgrade your firmware unless you have a serious problem with your phones functionality!

To be honest. My voicedial works like a charm. 6600, 5.27.0, with HDW-2 headset.
it beeps when it wants me to say the voicedial namn, I say it, it repeats what i've said. Then it calls.
So just one (1) beep for me.

Please note i have a Sony Ericsson HBH-65.

when i switch my headset on, and i press the button to call, it does this:

beep *voice dial noise* *i speak* beep beep *partial response heard from phone* beep *call* then beep when call finished/disconnected.

This used to go beep when i pressed the button and beep when it disconnected.

It works fine with nokia 6600's pre-v5.27.0 - so its definately a problem with this new firmware.

Anyone who has very much knowledge about this updated firmware, your input is greatly appreciated.

If it was possible to get a downgraded firmware, i would.

my father has a SE HBH-65. I might visit him tonight.
I'm gonna try it out then. I'll get back to you on the results.

That would be great!

I did call nokia, and they have told me that its most likely a problem with the software - and after driving for about 3 hours this evening, have managed to get it to a service centre that actually does software updates (despite it having the most up to date software).

They said its most likely an issue with the installation - i just hope i dont have the same problem when its returned!

I'll keep you posted

Sent in my phone again, got it back and had the same problem.

The company reckoned it might be the headsets firmware may need upgrading to be compatible with the new firmware on the phone.

They couldnt fix it, so have sent it to nokia for testing.

I find it strange that your dads one works fine, but I have problems with mine.

Hopefully it will get fixed soon, I'll keep you guys posted
