ok i got tmoible right now and my contract is almost up. To keep me aronud they have offered me a deal on 2 phones. i currently have the 3650, but i hate the keypad. So they offer to sell the 6600 ( they dont carry the 6620) to me for $130 or the 3660 for $85. This is not a rebate, it is all instant.
So for the price what should i do? how much better is the 6600?

Alot. I have a 3660 and envys the themes and the bigger internal memory plus the sleek design of the 6600. Lots more reasons but these are what is obviously not present in the 3660 as per my experience. If you go for the functionalities I think the 3660 would do but if you're into installing third party apps, game emulators, games or other productivity, imaging tools, if budget allows you and if you're willing to shred the extras, go for the 6600, with the current development and arrival of newer phones, the 3660 is already under the sheets. Go for something newer, i say. 😃
i know therre are newer phones but for the $ i could not get a much newer phone.
anyone else have any insights?
My advice would be,not to get any of these on t mobile as they will be heavily branded, stay away from Orange and Vodafone too. They remove features, plaster there shortcuts around and are sim locked.
Thats my advice anyway.
😊
i dont care about the branding... I just want to know which is a better phone for the price... Or if there is a better phone coming on tmobile very soon in the same price range.
You dont care about the branding???????? But you want the better phone??
Complete contradiction as the phone that is unbranded will be better than a phone which is,or do you just want it so you can say youve got one?
And what ever deal t mobile are offering you it can always be bettered, unless youve been with them since they started and spend $1000 a month Lol.

Looking for a better phone but compromises what elton said,
"They remove features, plaster there shortcuts around and are sim locked" Hmmmm.... Ur looking for value for ur money compromising the features... Hmmm...
i'd definitely go for the 6600, the size alone is worth the extra money. plus u can put themes and stuff like that, if u care about that kinda stuff
ps u guys talk about branding as if its not the same phone anymore, so what if there are some logos and stuff added on
besides for the price he save he could easily get it flashed to an unbranded firmware, unlocked and he'd still have a whole lot of money left over
Thanks Don your the first person to give me useful information on this forum.
Are the directional controlls better on the 6600 then on the 3660?

So warnings and precautions arent useful informations? 😃 If u have the dough go for the 6600 rather than an older model as ive said. 😃

Actually, most of the network operators new software is taking over the phone completely, many are moving towards limiting ringtone selection only to those downloaded through there wap site, the removal of shortcut buttons (to provide room for there t-zones,vodalive,orange shop etc) why do you think they are also moving towards providing their own manual for the phones? So they can get away with removing half of the options!
Im sorry jcsantiago,if you think thedon was the only person to give useful information, but if it was me,i sure would want to know this, and yes you could get it re flashed,(and throw your manuals away)but why the hassle if you know beforehand about this???
The original question about which phone to choose goes without saying, the 6600 (out of those too anyway) why not 7610?
Good luck with it all anyway. 😊
