the headset only rings not the hand set

I haven't 5.27 on my 6600, but the features said to be in 5.27 is to allow also the phone ring with a Bluetooth headsets. Perhaps someone with 5.27 can verify.

I am using v5.27 and Headset HDW-2 and i can listen the ringtone in both in phone and in headset.Before i was using 3.42 at that version i was able to listen only in handsfree.

With 5.27 can you choose if the phone rings or not? I can see some circumstances where I would like the choice of which item rings.

AFAIK it is not possible to choose that. With the older firmware the phone doesn't ring and with the new firmware it rings. Not necessarily always very practical, but that's how the cookie crumbles at the moment.

How can I upgrade my 6600 to 5.27?

Ok, standby for technical explaination, (that you will find in many threads if you search the forums):-
Are you ready?
Open front door of house,
Walk or drive to local Nokia Service Centre,
Enter,
Ask "Can you upgrade my phones firmware to 5.27?"
They will give you an answer and any requirements for it, i.e. give us some money, leave us your handset for 2days/2weeks.

Thank is the only legal way to do it, sorry if it was too technical for you 😉
