Does Symbian support any local speech recognition system?

if yes, are the API publically provided?

if yes what are the API?

There is speaker-dependent voice recognition built in (to call people, turn Bluetooth on/off), etc.

Then there are apps such as NeuVoice: http://my-symbian.com/7650/applications/applications.php?fldAuto=217&faq=2

To my knowledge there is no ready-made API's or general built-in voice recognition system (speaker dependent or speaker independent) that you could make use of in your own apps, though.
