I was wondering if I can use a card reader/writer to download software, mp3s, pics onto and then put it back in the phone as I am still having problems synching with the computer ( win98, no firewall ) :frown:

YES. you can. Best way is: Generate the folders in the phone, put in in a reader, fill content, and there you are...

Works VERY good for photos: Downsample to 320 x 208, put on the card: Looking great!

ok, so let me get this straight, if I wanted opera browser, I could just download it, put it on to the card via a card writer and basically it will work. Surely it cant be as easy as that :con?

No, not quite. Copy the .sis file for opera onto your card into, for example, the documents folder. Put the card in your phone and then use filemanager to locate the .sis and tap on it. It should start to install itself!
