How can I free up memory I haven't used!!?

1 replies · 1,513 views · Started 11 November 2004

My memory manager on my 600 says I am using over 5.5mb of my 6mb space on the phone. Yet when it totals up the calendar notes, contacts, messages, videos pics etc it comes nearer 500k.

I have used efilemanager and looked at every single file and folder in C and D drives but again, there is nowhere near this amount of space being used. It is causing my phone to keep telling me it cannot recieve messages due to low memory and "memory full".. i do not have any sim messages or sim contacts, or phone messages. Every application is set to use my 256mb MMC and I cannot understand how to free this memory so that I can free the RAM.

Btw, I have tried the usual - rebooted, no apps running etc

Please help

Try formatting the phone, ie hold the green button (call reciving key), 3 and the star key together and restart ur phone and hold until u see the formatting on the screen. This should solve ur problem
