Real one video streaming does it work for everyone??

5 replies · 3,562 views · Started 11 October 2002

there have been reports that in some countries video streaming through wap was not permited in some countries, would that account for the problems for example in Greece, or did someone actually make it work??

Do i understand correctly that to make realone work you go to the wap browser go to www.realone.com/7650 and choose a video clip (as far as that point it works for me) but then when realone opens i get the realone logo and that's it nothing more!!

Apparently, as i have tried anyway, realone video stremaing can only be accessed using wap and not eg webviewer??

Yep...use the wap browser to open...then i close wap and open another access point:

But it did only work with a few stations though!

As been said before, you can't use wap gateways(not with netcom)anyway.

let me get this straight:
you use the wap browser to connect to realone.com/7650 and choose the video stream (so far it works for me) and then when you press enter to select the video to play that is where it all stops.

you then exit the wap browser, and you go to the realone player and what do you do??? you just created an access point but you need a program to conect like webviewer or direct from the realone player. like key in rtsp://.....????

give me all the details please

Yep! wap browser connect to realone.com/7650
2. select country.(scandinavian in my case)
3. Entertainment then "radio aland"
3. Disconnect
4. open another access point ie E-mail account
5. go back to services (wap)
6. radio aland

Not an easy way, but it worked for me.
BTW could not get BBC or others to work beacause they asked for another access point...

That's the way I have to do it, but it's a bit crap becuase Vodafone only allow a maximum of 9.6k. :x

I'm changing to Orange soon they support 33.6k 😃

Has anyone managed Video or just Audio, I noticed there are no Video streams on the Real's WAP site.

so you never actually use the realone program on its own, yes?? you do nothing to the settings or the url address, yes??

you connect to wap find the video or audio (do both work??) and disconect..goto webviewer or email with gprs and connect...and then what you open the wap browser again and go to the selected audio/video again and it works?? because when you connect to email or web it is another access point so probably the wap will not work??
