i deleted more than 10 of my contacts hoping to get more free memory space, however i got even less. i even shut down the phone and waited for a couple days for it to refresh but my free memory space never increased. have any ideas?

i think it;s bcos the data still exist inside the memory and it needs some days or maybe weeks to restore the data.

A lot of databases do delete your entry but the reserved place for it stays reserved, in other words used.
Don't know about this Database but it could be the solution. With any luck you could reuse the space by adding other contacts in it.
But let's just hope Nokia made a better database 😉 and auto'defrags' it
