Connecting to PC suite QD (More detailed walkthrough with pictures)

That's a nice tutorial but it still doesn't help me,

When I plug my Bluetooth Dongle in it comes up just asking to install drivers,

and when that's done the CD loads up saying install bluetooth software which is a totally different thing.

Should I take my bluetooth dongle back and get another?

Okay I did as you said but I just get a "New Hardware Found" and according to the tutorial I should be getting a bluetooth one, do I need to get anything before doing this like drivers.

I'm using Windows XP: Home Edition SP1

Sorry about this, it must be annoying

Well when the bubble comes up to say "New hardware found" click the bubble and it should take you straight to the installation. If it does not work go to My computer and see if you can see any new items installed if not go to control panel and select "Printers and other hardware" on the left side you will see a icon saying "Other hardware" Click it and it should look for your bluetooth device.

Nope, nothing in my computer and there is no link to "Other Hardware" this is strange... I've switched between classic and category view as well in the control panel, I clicked the Printers and Other hardware and nothing called "Other Hardware" was there but "Wireless Link" was so I clicked it but it was just about Infared..

But it still detects your hardware...Is there an icon on your taskbar where the bubble popped out from?

No, what I mean is I can install using the CD but it's a totally different way of uploading (using the Handset Manager problem that's on the CD) and I get a limit of 600kb upload and it's not the best of programs...

I'm going to try it on my PC in the morning (I've been trying it on my Laptop) but I don't see it working on my PC either.

Splintercell14:

Followed the instructions but cannot run PC suite as prior to running it requests to connect a telephone and the QD is not connectable. Program cancels automatically.

Help is much appreciated

Uh n-gage QD user i contacted Nokia about ur prob and they said some Bluetooth devices may not be fully compatible with your N-gage QD...so it would be a good idea to get a new one. Frank what version of N-gage QD suite are you using and what kind of nokia n-gage QD r u using? (American/European/Other) Also you might have a firewall/viruscanner or windows service packet 2 interrupting with your connection to your n-gage.
