I got my Sendo X in Vadafone today. It's a nice smartphone, and it's smaller than my N-gage. I am quite happy with it. But I have a few questions wanna ask.
1. Some of the functions are disabled or missing like the contrast, colour palette, silent mode shortcut(press option and then press #) and so on. I couldn't find many things like that which I found the user guide. Where or how can I find them?
2. I tried to insert my MMC card, which I used it in N-gage and it's been working great, in Sendo X. But it couldn't detect there's MMC card in the phone and I couldn't format it since there were only Help and Exit in the Memory Card options. Is the MMC slot broken or my card isn't compatible with Sendo X? By the way, which brand of MMC card are you guys using for the Sendo X?
3. Can I use Sendo X as a removable storage?
4. Does it compatible with all the Symbian series 60 apps like SeleQ and Handy Clock?
Please help,
Thank you.
1. This is not available on the X and according to Sendo will be amended in future User Guides (which are currently being translated). Dont remember seeing the Options then # for silent mode in the User Guide, what page? (also, have you tried just using a short press of the power button then scroll and select silent?)
2. Most MMC's work, try reformatting on your PC's MMC reader/writer (i think the format it needs is FAT32). PS I'm using a 64MB Sandisk MMC
3. ??Explain??
4. The Sendo X is Nokia series 60 v1.2s over Symbian OS v6.1s (with some sendo customisation) and most apps for that OS should be OK. However, it is always best to test the sample version of an app before paying for it. Also, contact the software provider direct to ensure compatibility. However, search through this forum and you will find lots of info on what does and doesn't work on the X.

I thought the Options-# shortcut sounded like a good idea.
Do other people get caught out using Options-* to unlock the phone? I find that you actually have to hit Options-Options-*, because the first keystroke just wakes the display up, but if the screensaver is not active then Options-Options-* doesn't unlock the phone - the second press tells you to use Unlock-* to unlock the phone, and then it ignores the *. And sometimes I manage to unlock it without the backlight switching on.

The question is about whether or not the Sendo makes the memory card available as a standard USB storage device, like a pen/thumb/key drive, without having to install extra applications.
The answer is no. The nGage does, but the X doesn't.
I downloaded the user guide from sendo.com. I found that Options-# shortcut for silent mode in that user guide, but I couldn't find which page it is again. Sorry about that.
I got a Sandisk SD card for X today. It's working fine. But it is kind of annoying that it can't be used as a USB storage device.
I was wondering if there is any way that I could send a file from my computer to the SD card directly via bluetooth and not using FExplorer to cut and paste from the SMS? Also, can I use mp3 file for the ringtone?
Thanks
