the sound on my 7610 stutters i have heard that there is a software update that i can install on my phone can anyone help?

I'm experiencing a similar problem. On mine a brief pause (stutter) is inserted every few seconds of playback. Doesn't seem to affect MP3 files that I've copied to the phone - only the AMR files (ring tones) that were pre-installed when I received the handset. The error isn't in the files because they play just fine when transferred to my PC and played using Nokia Multimedia Player (PC Suite 6.4.8).
I have a support request in with Nokia UK web site but they haven't responded with a solution yet. Will let you know if I hear anything.
My handset has firmware version 4.0427.0 (02-07-04). There is a later version available, but I don't know if it fixes the problem. I shall go visit a Nokia service center and see if I can get the latest firmware, just in case it does.
