Vodafone internet problem

Hey i have just bought a sim free 6600 and i stuck my vodafone payg sim in it. Ive had the gprs settings sent to my phone countless times from the vodafone website to no effect. I cant send mms or use opera to browse the web can someone advise me on some working settings? The tariff is smartplus if that helps any 😊

Thanks in advance

mms settings are not the same as internet - to get "proper" internet access you will need Voda to remove the restiction that is on - this means accessing via VODA GPRS ISP rather than VODAFONE GPRS (which is actually via a wap filter). You will have to give them a ring and you will also require a credit card to verify you are over 18.

for your mms settings

I thought they would have sorted this by now (and they may have) but i got my 6600 over a year ago and downloaded the settings from the vodafone site, and they didnt work! They assumed the settings would be the same as 7650 but they are not. In the end i got all the settings i needed from this very site including internet and mms,so do a search for "vodafone 6600 settings" and you should find the page which includes the voda settings and manual input instructions.

Good luck :icon14:

Thanks Guys, im gonna do some searching on the forum. I did the mms thing from the nokia site and it still dosent work :con? I guess i should call them or take it to the nearest vodafone shop if i cant get it to work.

Edit: ive dont a total format of the fone, now when i try to access a wap page i get a flashing G in the top left corner of Opera and then nothing. Same thing when sending a mms, i get a lil flashing g in the corner but its complains and tries to resend in another 5 mins 😡 Maybe i should just change to another sp?
