yeah i'm new and such, just got an a925 after having an a835.. the a835 pissed me off with its little annoyances..
anyway, is there any music composition software for a925? freeware definitely preferred, and hopefully something that makes mod files or similar format..
also, are there any freeware mod/xm/it/etc players available?

I don't know of any trackers for UIQ, but N-Player is a free MOD-player that supposedly supports mod, xm and s3m. Normal modules and s3m works fine for me, but xm modules seems to crash the player (and the phone).
UltraMP3 supposedly also supports playing of modules, but since it's commercial I haven't tried it.

Ah, you might need the SonyEricssonP80xPlatform.sis. I constantly forget about that one. I hope it's freely distributable, if not, someone please slap me on the head. It will fool installers into thinking that your phone is a P800, and thereby enabling you to install a lot more software. Anyway, just put it in d:\System\Install (create the folders if they aren't there) on your phone. You can put it on c: too, but why waste precious space when you can put it on the SD? Don't try to install it. It's not a real program.

i tried it.. still doesnt work! i just copied it to the sd card under system\install .. and then when that didn't work i tried it in c: but it still did the same thing.. am i doing something wrong?

What is the exact error you get and what are you options when getting this error?
'N-Player' is not compatible with your handset and cannot be installed.
and then all i can do is press ok and it quits..
the only reason i can think of is that its probably because my software version is 30.80.12 .. maybe i should see if i can upgrade it?

Yes, try to get your handset upgraded. I'm using 30.80.20 in my A925.
