Yesterday, the infrared function on my Sendo X suddenly stopped working. It will not beam out. It will not receive beams. It used to do both just fine.
I turned the phone off, then on -- but nothing. And I checked the devices I was trying to beam to with others, and they worked fine.
Any ideas about what might be happening and how to fix it?

Hi I had a problem getting the infrared to work, I found out that the sendo x keeps disabling the infrared after its not used for a few minutes.
You have to keep going into connect folder and clicking on the infrared icon to enable again to recieve or send.
Hope this helps, as it caught me out as I've never had a phone before that switches the infrared off, usually once its set on then it keeps on until you switch it off again manually. Not sure if this is a bug or feature of the symbian os.

have you tried doing a full backup to the computer then resetting the phone to factory defaults, testing if infrared works. then if it does restore your settings from your backup then try again.
Maybe your problems are caused by an incompatible program you've installed since the last time you used the infrared, have you tried uninstalling programs .
I can't think of anything else you could try other than above, thought I'd have another go of helping as nobody else seems to be helping the now.
