I think you mean screensavers, not backgrounds.!
There is no way of an animated background! However there is Psilocs screen saver which does animate gifs but only as a screen saver!

That's not corect it's now posible to have a animated gif as background with the new tool eProfiles from PSILoc!
The only thing is that it is not support all the animated gif files becoss the used API frames and this is verry buggy ! 😉
Bet the working on a version that support all the animated gif file, i'm now testing an new beta version that i get from PSILoc.

Thats excellent news, but i bet it drain the battery like mad :cry: Tried the screensaver with animated gif and my battery would be down in a day. With the default nokia one battery last for more than 2 days :P
