I have the same problem, people complain during conversations that suddenly my voice dissapears or becomes very very weak! I have adressed Sendo directly with this issue, and they claim that they have never experienced this issue on any Sendo X. It is very annoying and I hope that it is a firmware issue, but since I have only heard of you experiencing this, I suspect it being a hardware issue.
So now maybe I have to return my SECOND Sendo X device and demand a new one!
:frown:
I am actually experiencing this issue getting worse as days go by!!
More people start complaining about not hearing me in an conversation!
When I use the Sendo headset/mic this problem is not present (no complains so far at least) so the problem seems to be related to the mic in the phone.
If I scream loud on the microphone people can hear me normally again, it's
almost like the mic goes into hibernation/sleep mode, and wakes up when
it registers loud sound!!!
I REALLY hope this is a software issue so that it can be remedied through
a new firmware, and that I don't have to send my second Sendo X back
to the retailer!!
Anyone else experiencing the same?????? PLEASE let me know!!! :frown:
exactly the same problem with me... with the headset people can hear me very well but without it its just noise. Also whem i try to record a sound i cant record anything the same with the video recorder.
Hi,
Can you all show the version you have (press *#0000# on the Now! screen).
Also, being Portuguese (one of you at least), are they the old Telefonica versions?
If so, certainly upgrade to the new version that has just been posted.
If not, wait a few days for the new version, then try that.
Have other users had this recently ?
pk
my firmware version is 1.70.4.2 release 16-sep-2004
My unit has the following data:
Firmware: <X 1.56.2.2 - 20-Aug-2004>.
IG:3.4
IG:France Distr. 1.10
GSM SW Ver: 04.27E1
I live in Oslo, Norway, and I am subscribing to Telenor Mobil.
I eagerly await the upcoming 60D firmware, but I can not see in
the "fix-list" (listed with the spanish firmware version X 1.98.5.2/60D)
that bad microphone is one of the fixes that have been made...
Still I hope...
This is my second Sendo X, the first one had an earlier firmware, and
did not have this problem, but it wouldn't read memory cards so I had
to return it. After a month of waiting, I get a new Sendo X that does
read the memory cards, and have a never firmware, but with new problems
like this!
If this is a hardware failure the phone is going back to the retailer because
then I start to suspect bad quality hardware in the Sendo X, and I won't take
the chance of a 3'rd unit with potentially new problems, and I certainly don't
want to wait (anymore) for the phone being fixed.
Let's pray!

I found this post from "DragonReborn"
Solution for inaudibility
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the way, at the Sendo (or rather smartphone) meeting in Holland yesterday, someone got his inaudibility problem fixed. (He was hard to hear by others when calling with his X).At least with him it was a hardware problem.
The microphone appears to be in a airtight room. (Underneath your battery you can see the screws). If the screws aren't secured enought, a gap can occur which can cause heavy disturbance to the microphone. The solution was to unscrew the screws (with a fitting torx)for a bit and rescrew them tightly (not to tightly, you don't want to break the the case!). After this he could be heard clearly.
The representative from Sendo also recommended removing the battery starting up with "5" pressed after updating the X.
(personally I used the *#3730# (or whatever it is) and the "5"reset before updating to make it a clean install, next time I'll also take out the battery then..(just in case))

I am gonna try it today, and post my results here..
I got the same probleme, 2 weeks ago.
My solution was to beat out (carefully on the table) und exhaust (manually, with my lung) the dirt and dust, which was sticking in the hole befor the mic! :icon14:
Well, I loosened the screws on the back of the X, and gave it a few
light kicks against my knee, then I tightened the screws again, real real hard!!
(actually the screw at the very bottom felt a little looser than the others)
Now after this, nobody has been complaining that they can't hear me!!!
So it seems like that issue now is solved for me!!
(even if it is a bit early to say after only 1 day of testing).
You will need a torx-screwdriver size T-6 to loosen the screws on the Sendo X.
(T-6 / T6X40)

Well, the problem is back, people complain they can't hear me again! I loosen and thighten the screws again, and then it is ok for one day, and then they can't hear me anymore... This phone is killing me!!! 😡
I have to admit it, the Sendo X is a peace of REALLY BAD QUALITY HARDWARE!!!!!! 😡
But I guess Sendo has proven one thing, marketing does work!! :icon14:
And I am one of the unlucky morons who fell for their scam! :icon4:
I have the same problem, my mic is noisy
can you tell me more precisely what to do, what screw?, how? and if the problem did solve or not after few months or if it's a temporary solve.
did you concact the technical support? and what did they advice to do?
thanks

I am sorry, it seems like for me, and some other Sendo X users, loosening and tightening the screws is only a temporary solution. This is a hardware issue due to low quality hardware/manufacturing of the Sendo X. If you live next to a certified repair centre I would go there, otherwize you will have to try this solution. (Or check out the thread about Disassembling/Dismantling the Sendo X)
You will have to loosen the two screws at the back-bottom of the phone a little bit, and tighten them again, real hard, but not so hard that you damage the device.
