I understand. If I would have one big article to read, I might not have taken the time to read it all :redface: So this is a pretty good solution for both reader and writer IMO
Nice review! I was wondering, are you going to do an in-depth on the synch software? Most reviews just mention "and, of course, it synchs with Outlook and Lotus Notes" but most symbian users know it's rarely as simple as that. For an "Office away from the Office", synching documents, contacts and calendar is going to be very important. A good look at how\if this works compared to other symbian synch systems would be hugely beneficial.

Anyway, I have a small question. Your fourth sentence starts with "It asked what language I wanted the device to use,..." What kind of choices did you have ? And do you know if you can change the device language afterwards? The picture of the control panel shows a section called "Device language".

Sync Software: Given I don't have Notes and I refuse to put Outlook on my PC, I''m happy toi can sync to Windws Address Book. That seems to work okay. I'll certainly talk about the PC Suite, but I've not got a huge amount of setups here.
Languages: UK release model that I have had English or Dutch.
I tried installing my CoBuild Dictionary from my 9210i to my 9500, it would crash, are there updates available?? Anyone??
Program compatibility is good, but not quite perfect. Some apps (most of Epocware's for example) run quite happily. Some others do crash out immediaitely. For example OPL looks for a font in one place (EON14.gdr) but it';s been moved, so the app crashes. A quick mail to the author of the application is best. That way they know there is interest in tweaking the app.

The parts are about a week apart. I've got other areas of the site to work on, and everything needs a fair crack of the whip. We did get the first review of Pathway to Glory on the N-gage in the world, so that needed some time as well. Should have part two on this Wed or Thur, once I;'m happy with it!

That is true. But maybe some developer will make an app that can do that.

You can access files on a remote PC, if you get a suitable client application:
- the phone's browser will do, if your PC runs a web server
- an FTP client will do, if your PC runs an FTP server
- an NFS client will (one doesn't exist to as far as I know), if your PC runs an NFS server
- an SMB/CIFS client (one doesn't exist as far as I know), if your runs an SMB/CIFS server (like Samba or the PC is a Microsoft Windows file server)
- etc.

pretty clear and objective review.
would like to see it on part two how many screens on the web can be opened at the same time as well as if 9500 is enabled to allow users to use their webmails and other applications demanding password and log in over the web, and to participate in any ordinary internet chat rooms, none of those features supported by previous communicator models, neither any pocket pc I have seen so far.
