can anyone pls help ??

I have just got a used Ngage, and when I moved my contacts over from my 64 meg ( 6600 ) card, I got an error message, :

Device start up failed, Contact the retailer

Orange cannot help as it is not their phone on contract, the phone is locked so cannot use it. :frown:

The N-Gage only has 3 megs of internal memory, and if you put anything over 3 megs in the N-gage internal memory, it'll crash and thus get either the WSOD or that message (i got that before). Theres nothing you can do so you'll have to return it to where you bought it from and get a new one or send it to Nokia for repairs.

I take it that you took yours for repair, any ideas how much this will cost,?

is it worth repairing or would it bebetter going on Ebay and seeing what is there ?

any other ideas would be useful, I have had the Ngage to a Phone Doctor today and he has flashed the memory and reinstalled the op system, all to no avail.

getting desperate now !

Actually, my n-gage died within 14 days of the purchase so I still had a store warranty on it. All they did was gave me a band new one. I went ahead and purchased a full year warranty for $15 just incase it breaks down again....
