Problem with Nokia 7650 connection software

I have loaded the software provided on the disk that came with my 7650 on to my Win98 machine, but it doesn't work as shown in the manual.

When I use it first time, it is supposed to ask me about the port being used - but this doesn't happen; all I get is a screen asking me to connect my phone.

I know that the infra-red connection is working, as I have transmitted images from the phone, and files to the phone.

What have I missed, if anything?

have you checked mrouter to see which port u using? Try to give as much info as possible about your setup! Search the forum maybe the answer lies in there!

I have the same problem. I connect it through infra red. Says to connect phone then press OK but when I press OK nothing happens, still shows the message to connect phone then press OK. Tried it on both Win XP and 98 SE.

Same problem. Bought new IR adapter and it wouldn't work - the simptoms were the same as above... The drivers that came with it were the only ones I could find. So I tryed some other drivers written for an older version of the HW and it worked just fine.
