im running win2k.
Some ideas:
a) Do you have the Telefonica handset - see the code on the sticker under the battery. If not, the update will not be valid. Wait a few more days.
b) The driver is only asked for when pressing the "*" key at power on. When asked, browse to C:\SendoXUpdate - that is where the driver is. It is NOT the same one as the PC Connect version - a common problem.

OK, i'm confused....
Are you trying to UPDATE the firmware in the handset, from the Sendo website, or are you trying to connect the phone for use with Sendo PC Connect?
If the first option, you need to download the firmware from the site, and run the exe to unzip the software to the folder I mentioned. If the second option, the drivers are on the CD that came with the handset, or can also be downloaded from the Sendo website.
Hope that helps... If not, please describe the exact steps you are doing, and what you are tying to achieve.

OK, get the drivers off the CD, or from here:
http://www.sendo.com/products/x/updates/updates/XConnectUSBdrivers.exe
Then choose the Win 2000 version. This does work OK. If you're still having issues, then try removing the device from the device manager, and start from scratch.
reinstalling doesnt work, i get this:

:hmmmm:
OK, not seen this before. I will check into it on Monday, when I am back in the office. Unless anyone else has had this and got around it - any takers ? 😊

Just got two ideas:
1) Have you tried re-downloading them incase one of the files was corrupted while downloading?
2) In device manager right click the Sendo X Smartphone and click Uninstall. Unplug the Sendo X and reboot the PC. Then plug in the Sendo X again and when the 'found new hardware wizard' comes up select the Win2k driver and see if it works.
I am a network administrator and have never seen that on any pc before!
Good Luck
dont know if this helps

Hi I've read your problem, I have just a few questions about how your installing the drivers.
Are you installing the sendo x drivers using the admin account on windows 2000 or an account with the rights to install hardware drivers.
Are you connecting the sendo x usb cable directly to the computer and not going through a usb hub.
If your doing the above, try uninstalling sendo connect and sendo x from device manager , reboot and try again from scratch.
ok... i just plugged my printer in again (usb, and im running out of usb ports) and i get the same error.
looks like i might have to re-install windows, oh well, its well overdue anyway
