Yeah... very pretty skins! User posted image

Btw, how can I put pics on my posts?
I try it with Copy and Paste, but it doesnt work. ??

Regards!

Master,

I already have HTML enabled on "preferences", but I dont know what I have to do. If I have a JPG file, what have I to do to put it on the post?
Please excuse me but a lot of technical texts in english are too difficult to me.

Thanks! User posted image

P.S. Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! User posted image

Type in the following code, but replace the relevant bits with your own stuff. You image files must be somewhere on the net...

<IMG SRC="http//www.myfiles.com/mypicture.jpg">

As mr N9210 says it is the code.

I'll try and investigate upgrading the forums to make it easier.

Rafe

Thanks, guys

Then I can not do it, cos the files arent on the net User posted image it doesnt matter.

Regards!

Loonyworld, look out cos some more Sailor Moon skins are on their way at the moment (I'm not an addict) as well as some cool 3X3 Eyes skins (although I don't think I can fill a pack with just 3X3 Eyes so something else may be in with that).

There's more I wanna do, but they are a bit pointless as I doubt anyone here would be interested if I made a Tug-of-War skin or something. But ideas are still coming.

Flipside

WOW, Manowar & Flipside - amazing skins - keep up the good work.

Loony, looks like you may have some competition User posted image

The one thing that stops me changing my skin all the time is the having to reboot, if only we could get rid of that!!!

Speaking of which I do actually have an idea of how to change the right panel without having to reboot, it will take a small bit of programming if anyone is intrested in doing it?

You find someone to make that work and I'll be very happy User posted image all this rebooting malarky makes me think I'm running Windoze on it at times.
I'd offer to code the app for you, but I'm still scanning the API stuff.

Flipside

Well, it's actually very simple, here's the logic;

When you change to a different frame within an MBM you need to reboot, but if you change the MBM itself you don't. So rather then having 1 MBM with 4 frames, you have 4 MBM files, file 1 has 4 copies of picture 1, file 2 have 4 copies of picture 2, etc...

The program has the 4 MBM files, when you set it to picture 1 it copies file1.mbm to display.mbm, this will change the right panel without having to reboot.

Then when you want picture 4, rather then get the 4th frame from the mbm, the program copies file4.mbm to display.mbm and your right panel changes to the 4th picture.

Maybe I should have entered this into the PSI NT contest User posted image

Hopefully it's not 2 hard for someone with skills and time to develop this.

Regards

That is a far more cunning plan than I had thought of, and is also quite easy to do manually...... hmm skin time savers coming up for me User posted image

Flipside

Yeah.. Patrick, you should have entered your idea into the PSI NT contest! I hope it becomes a reality! User posted image
I sent some images for a PacMan game for 9210 to PSI NT. Id like to play PacMan on my comm!

Regards, guys!

And thanks again for your post, Loony! User posted image<font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by Manowar on 2001-12-11 1502 ]</font>

Glad you all agree, the only thing we need now is for someone to write the app to do it!

/me got <B>VERY</B> big ears.

Interesting, indeed very very interesting.

God knows how many times "IT" has to reboot to make screens of the 4 pics in a skinpack..only 2 times for every screen..One for the texture and one for the colors (oh thank you Epocware 4 devine app)

So something like this is more than appriciated...

Great idea..More than Great

Maybe its comeing in the next version of Colors as an addon and a fixed right menu text colour for the custom patterns...
/me slaps himseld and wakes from the dream..

back to bed... User posted image

/me just creates 4 different MBM files, each with the skin image as first pic, and 3 more 2bit images (crap or maybe related to skin) filling the rest of each MBM. Therefore the MBM won't be too large or of too much bother as very few people will change skins more than once a week.

Flipside

That will work, the only reason I suggested the 4 copies in the MBM files is that it would then work no matter which frame within the MBM that it looked at, but sure, if you want to save space then make a single framed MBM file.
