Thank's a lot.

CTR + CHR + Shift + K kills the desktop. Just closes it, you will get the contacts and web browser pop up loads. You can start it again by pressing the desk key.

CTRL + Shift + F held in from startup formats the device, you will get a prompt. Unlike other communicators, all the sales package software is held in the device, so you dont need to reinstall. Downside is that you cant reinstall just the calendar app for instance. You have to format the whole thing if it corrupts.

Removing the battery and replacing it will restart the phone and get rid of any connectivity errors you are having.

Any help?

more over i have one more question. can i use 9500 wlan with my laptop which has wifi and do sync on browse files.

No, AFAIK, you have to start the inside (by re-inserting the battery for example) and then press these keys

ok, first you have to restart your phone, you can do this by either:

remove the battery and reinserting it

or

change the language on your device

then after it powers up old immediatly ctrl + shift + F (tochether) you'll see a new screen where your prompted to format the device

choose format - yes

then you have made a hardreset to your handset.

Don't forget that if you choode to restart the phone by changing the language, you'll have to reconfigure the language and it'll restart again. Of course this time you'll not need to hold the keys because it'll only make a softreset.

hope this helps....

Just - in the latter case you would have to change the language twice.
If you'd just change the language and then format the device at the restart, all will be formatted in the changed language (folders names, etc ...).

You'd like to format the device?
Keys are OK, but you have to press them sooner, before the hands - on the Nokia logo. (Unlike the N9210).

Delta737 wrote:Yes, you have to press control, shift, Chr and F

yes i have tried to press them. but it wont restart

Delta737 wrote:If you want to RESTART your phone. Just take the battery out and put it back in...

yeah.. i mean i want to restart my 9500 to the factory state one, but when i press control shift f while the nokia hands were showing, my nokia did not give any response at all.

I'm so TIRED of all the FUZZY instructions that makes the hard reset FAIL!!!
It's hard to understand how ANYONE can succeed with SOME of the instructions...
THIS IS THE CORRECT ONE, I'VE DONE IT a dozen times now to pinpoint EXACTLY what is needed!!

To perform a hard reset, follow this instruction TO THE LETTER:

Restart the device. NOTE: You DO NOT have to remove the battery!! You can
JUST AS WELL use a FREE tool like TaskSpy: http://www.pushl.com/taskspy/
The restart option in TaskSpy is in the menu under "Tools"; Hotkey is Shift+Ctrl+R
(Non-related bug issue in v0.96: do NOT press the Menu key while in Preferences:
TaskSpy crashes and burns; use the ARROW keys in stead!)
NOTE: If you still decide to remove the battery and the battery is out too long,
you must press the power button on the front to start the device.

When the image that says "NOKIA"(NOT the HANDS: that's TOO LATE!!!) comes up,

press AND HOLD Shift+Ctrl+F(don't stress, there's PLENTY of time) and

KEEP HOLDING KEYS(this is the CRUCIAL point) until you FIRST get A BLANK SCREEN, and

KEEP HOLDING KEYS(this is the SECOND crucial point) until it prompts you to confirm the format!
You're welcome.

And BTW, it's "Shift+Ctrl" and NOT "Ctrl+Shift", so you're "shifting" a control character
and not "controlling" a capital letter. But this is just formal: it actually doesn't matter
if you press the Shift before the Ctrl or the Ctrl before the Shift,
as long as you press the character LAST.

PS. All the miserable bastards like me, who have actually TRIED holding down Shift+Ctrl+F
AT THE SAME TIME as they've inserted the battery AND placed the device down WHILE HOLDING
THE KEYS are probably as relieved as I was when they find that THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME.
("stupid Flanders and his stupid instructions..."😉

Good Luck!
