I have just bought a Nokia 6260, and it seems to be a great phone, but one of the reasons for buying a smartphone was to use it for the Calender and Contacts functions, in addition to the phone.
I have not been able to connect the phone to my laptop at all with PC Suite using Bluetooth. It has no problems with sending and receiving files (eg. sounds, photos) via bluetooth, but I can not work out how to get the PC Suite to connect via Bluetooth.
I do not have IrDA or a cable to try it with. I read the manual, but it is a load of cr4p. Some parts tell me to refer to another manual, where there is no help at all, and others to my System Adminitrator, which I have none.
What settings do I need to put in to get this thing to work!!!! Never had this problem with my N-Gage (on another identical computer). I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 with builtin Bluetooth.
Help!!!! :con? :con? :con? :con? :con?
Did you try to use the Nokia PC Sync?? There is a option for connecting your phone by phone selector. You may click on the connection option to activate and pair your Bluetooth connection. One more thing, you must disconnect all other windows Bluetooth connection before use the nokia PC Suite for best result. You may try to use the phone selector to connect you phone

Works for me without any difficulties; I use PC Suite 6.4 (http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite) and Windows XP SP2 with its built-in Bluetooth drivers (and a Belkin USB Bluetooth dongle).
With the Belkin supplied WidComm drivers things didn't work well.

I had something similar. If your situation is indeed the same as mine, you may find these articles to be of use;

I got it to only work sometimes. It's really stupid this Nokia software. Only works SOMETIMES (less than 50%), and for no particular reason either. :icon13: :icon13: :icon13:
use xp sp-2 and the pc suite from the pc, if u r using a xtention cable then do away with it, lost current or voltage or something, (great A level advanced physics student) lol, worked 4 me tho- there is no way of using serial port though
hey.....
i just bought an Irda for my nokia 6260....i can send files from my pc to it but i cant recieve files from the fone to the pc....how does one solve the problem?
What, exactly, do you mean with "cant receive files from the phone to the pc"?
How do you send the files from the phone, exactly (step-by-step)? What happens? Knowing any and all error messages displayed (on the phone, on the PC or both), word for word, would be helpful, too.
heyy....i mean i try sending via infrared to my computer....and then it says 'connecting via infrared' and then immediately afterwards it says 'sending failed'. hope this suffices...i tried the Irda thing in another computer..it works fine. so there must be some prob with my comp?

Install PC Suite from www.nokia.com/pcsuite and use that
