Hi,

My father just came from taiwan and got me a P910i, the problem is that when i do a master reset the default language is Chinese and when i set it to english and use the pen to write something i get chinese signs. after calleing diffrent shops i found 2 that can change the symbian to the europian standard but they ask about 100 euro. My question is there any way i can do that my self?

First of all: have some patience. Maybe the random 24 people who watched this just didn't know an answer to this yet.

As far as I know, it it not possible to install any European version yourself.
If everything is allright, the P910i is European, where the P910c is the Asian version. So my guess is that you have a P910c and not a P910i

sorry about loosing my patience cuase have been looking evry where with little results and i'm sure that its the P910i.
i have a DSS only need to know what tool is used and where i can get the ero symbian os

Hi Gutts! I also experienced the same issue when I first bought my P900. What I accidentally bought was a Chinese version. I asked assistance from my local Sony Ericsson Call Center if it's possible to convert the OS to English version. They said that this is not possible since they are different and there's no software to use in converting the OS. Their solution was it's either I use the phone or have it replaced (if it will be replaced by the dealer).

I went back to the dealer and asked for a replacement. This was immediately replaced with the Euro/English version (thanks to warranty 😃 ).

What you can do is return the phone back to Taiwan for replacement.

Hope this answers your issue. 😊

Delta737,

my guess is that you have a P910c and not a P910i

You are wrong. The phone is P910i not P910c .When the phone boots it reads P910i same in the System Information.I'm also facing the same problem.
