p910i usb connection probs

Hi,

I've seen a few others post the same problem i have, but no replies on solutions. I have a P910i, with WinXP sp2. Got the latest software from SE today, and things work fine when I put my phone in the DSS cradle. HOWEVER, when I remove it, and put it back again later, the connection manager icon changes to the connected state (heartbeat icon with arrows to both sides). However, "My P910i" and all other software does not pick up anything. Is there some problem with the sync software, or some "correct" way of removing and reconnecting the phone? The only solution atm is to reboot everytime i put the phone back in the cradle.

Thanks
C

ok, seems like the problem could have been my phone rather than my pc. i removed everything (including my bluetooth software), then reinstalled only the latest SE pc suite and dss drivers. Still had problems with the connection, so i double checked the serial port settings, and turned it down to 9600. still no joy, so I restarted the phone. Then things started working. Upped the connection speed to 115200 and working fine now. Can remove and replace the handset to/from the docking unit without any problems 😊

:burnout:
