QuickOffice & Flashing a A920?? plz help... :(

Hi everybody!!!!

First of all, thanks 4 this exceptional forum, ive registered but im having problems with my mail... so youll see me soon 😃

Im spanish and a proud new owner of a Motorola A920, original BT-enabled by 3.

As the phone is BT enabled, i didnt consider the option of flashing it (by the way, i cant use the IrDa port 😞 ) but now, i have this problem:

I use Word and Excel a lot and I NEED to edit this kind of documents on my phone.
I know that the software called QuickOffice solves my problem, but... each time I intall the trial version, i get an "unexpected end of file" in each app I try, no matter what.
In the software web, it says that its compatible with A925... and for A920???? I can also see a photo of MY phone... :frown:

The question is if anybody knows if flashing my phone may help... mi firmware version is 21.58.01 .

by the way, more interesting thigs about flashing... as a Spanish 😉 im not using the "3" network, of course... im using the Vodafone network. Ive seen on the forums that theres people using Vodafone with a flashed A920, and the phone restarts (resets) each time it locates a 3G net... and thats why im afraid of flashing it. Any idea of why this could happen?

As you see... i need some help... do I have to flash my phone... or not????

Thanks in advance!!!!! 😉

Nobody knows... soobb :frown:

No one is using an A920&QuickOffice???

saludos a todos!!! 😉

I have an A920, I tried the software demo some time ago and it woudn't work on my phone so I decided not to bother with it.

As to getting the phone flashed, I didn't go through 3 I went to a Motorola Service agent, said I was Having problems with my phone and wondered how much it would cost to update the firmware.

The Tech said if you are having difficulties they update it for FREE!!

And got the bluetooth and Ir as a bonus, when you look up the Info on the phone it proclaims it as an A925 ver 30:80:12
