Hi all,
I tried to search for most of the issues, however couldn't find answers good enough, so decided to post.
Is it just my phone or everybody else have similar problems:
Alarm: I have p800 alarm setup as my alarm clock for workdays. Every ~2 weeks it just stops working, for no reason. I have to create another alarm, then it works again. I can't disable one and then re-enable, I have to use it 1 time, then the slot if free, so I create a new one.
so I have to use 2 alarm clocks, one as main and other a a backup 😊
Once in a while it reboots while trying to do alarm - I wake up of that "tick-tick-tick" restart sound (because I'm expecting an alarm).
Kinda the same goes for regular appointments, but not too often. I cannot pinpoint what do I do exactly when it doesn't work, but it's pretty annoying, give that my memory is shot and I have to rely on devices to remind me.
It looks likt it tries to display alarm, but it reboots, so no alarm. The appointment is still in system, just no alarm.
Another extremely annoying thing is bluetooth - I have SonyEricsson car handsfree (forgot model), probably every 10th call phone crashes and I have to remove battery to reboot it. My average is to reboot phone every day, reboot with taking battery off - every 2nd day. I have days where phone reboots itself 5 times a day, sometimes it goes OK for a week (but then again I don't have too many calls through bluetooth or appointments).
I have CXC162002 R2F as phone, CXC12529 R5A as bluetooth, CXC162001 R2D02 for organizer and CDA162001/7 R5A02 for CDA.
Upgrade was done by Service Center.
anyone else have those issues?
Just as a follow up to my own post (no other replies), i have to add phone still crashes a lot, sometimes 3-4 times a day (just reboots), sometimes even during a call.
I almost gave up on alarm function - if it doesn't crash / reboot the phone, it simply doesn't kick in.
And bluetooth still acting up a lot - i do make plenty of phone calls with bluetooth, and sometimes it doesn't transfer to car, sometimes it locks up and drains the battery if not rebooted (have to remove the battery for that).
Anyone any advise? I cut down on 3rd party software as much as I could (except Handy Day 2004 - it's my essential thing), no difference in crashes. Put in new battery (more juice), of course didn't change anything.
Unfortunately I have to use bluetooth and Handy day, this is my daily stuff, and resetting phone and redoing everything completely would be major PITA.
Thanks!

Never experienced such problems. You DO have the latest firmware AFAIK, but try to do the upgrade again, something apparantly went wrong (p.s. have you already tried a hard reset first)

So, after doing master reset, drive format, completely making my P800 out-of-the-box new and still having problems (out of 3 alerts it rebooted itself on 2), I decided to switch off bluetooth and see how it goes.
So far, it's been about a week, not a single problem - my alarm kicks off, reminders don't cause phone to reboot, and of course battery life is better too.
Unfortunately, bluetooth I use a lot, I have that bluetooth car handsfree (hcb-30??), I could say I use it for about 30 mins every day, and now I can't use it.
Probably going to get Nokia 7710 once they work the bugs out of firmware.
Rhetorical question is, why the heck bluetooth is so buggy? It's not the 1st phone with bluetooth (my T68 has it, although it's even worse).
