Does anyone else have this problem?
When I want to charge the phone over night I have the phone switched off and insert the charger. The phone 'boots' (showing the Sendo screen) to charging mode and shows the big image of the battery charging. So far so good. The phone then seems to reboot: going blank, then showing the Sendo screen and back to the battery image. This keeps happening time and time again. I don't know if the battery is actually charging and it's annoying as the phone 'flashes' as the screen lights up and goes dark again.
I haven't seen anyone report this problem and I don't think it will be fixed with the new firmware. I've only had the phone a few days so I think I'll get it replaced.
Apart from that I think it's a great phone. Yes I have a few niggley problems, but I had some on my 7650. Having user installable updates to the fw is SO much better than having to trudge off to find a competent Nokia service centre.
there we go again: (no offence)
you probably have installed an application that tries to boot when you startup the phone such as FullScreencaller and/or others.
Yep! Spot on. Ximplify RemindMe. Quite a good program really. I've uninstalled it and it all works again. Maybe I won't send the phone back just yet. 😉 And maybe I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is fixed in the next fw.
Thanks for your help, Speedman.
It would seem that blackballer also has the same effect, whereby the phone seems to go into a loop showing the logo screen then going dark. Upon uninstalling via the Program Manager I would once again get the battery graphic when charging with the phone off. PS I had the trial version of blackballer so I can't speak for the registered version
Thanks a lot, this helped me too - I have also had this problem for a while. Became more serious when I flattened the battery too far, the result of which a loop of on/logo/off.
Found it was caused by Agile Messenger - I hadn't suspected AgileMessenger because it actually worked very well.
Believe me, I know this problem really well. If you want a hassle free copy of Agile, PM me and I'll sort one out for you. If we could have a list of apps that cause this particular problem it may help us track down the problem. Once we do that, I'll email the developers so that Sendo friendly versions can be done.
And what about my problem:
if i charge with the phone on, nothing happens nor charge.
if i charge with the phone off, the screen goes blank for about 1sec then off. After some hours it's charged.
It started to heppen from one day to other, firmware flash with the same firmware didn't resolve.
Hope the new firmware will cure my phone.
I continue to use it normally, tought.

Your battery meter data may be corrupted. The way to resolve this is to fully discharge the battery (by using the phone), then do a full re-charge (phone can be on or off) - once you've done this, the data should reset, and you should be able to charge witht the phone on or off again.

But be aware! If you discharge your battery using your X (whichs means you'll use it until the X turns itself off), you may not be able to recharge your X.
If you plugin the charger, the x will turn on and off continously. So what to do then? Just plugin the charger and wait some minutes until the X has enough energy to get startet. Remove the charger, turn on your X and let it reboot to NOW Screen. THEN plug in your charger and the x will charge.
I usually charge my X BEFORE it will turn off, since this problem is widespread and may be resolved by a new firmware.

The problem you're describing is actually an issue caused by some third party applications (Agile Messenger is known to do it) - it's not a problem with the X itself.
No, it's not that at all.
I had let the battery run off many times.
One time it charged with the x turned on (while charging the indicator indicated minimum batery, with sound warnings, after disconnect the charger the x indicator show full battery) but it was the only time. All other the battery is still the same.
Only with x turned off will charge (screen off, like diconnected form the charger, except for 1 sec when i connect to charger).

Ok, I think we've all been talking about something different.
I would suggest you backup your phone's configuration, then re-flash the firmware on the phone. That should cure your problem.
As i said in a previus post, i've already done that a didn't resolve.
night - have you reflashed and reformatted as well? can you try charging the phone after doing these two things (before installing anything or doing a restore operation)? this might help track down the problem.
Yes , when that happened i have formated (5 key at startup then reflash).
Before anything i've tried and same thing happened.
I can live with this, but i think it is something to do with hardware not software.
as i have said before - it appears that each X is an individual... no two are alike. i have three and all three behave differently in one manner or another.

Yes, you're right, Mordred 660.
Thge most annoying thing is the screensaver/password bug. If that not resolved in firmware, i'm looking for a new phone. 😡

if you mean the "phone lock" bypass problem, yes it is...

COOL 😃
Bring it on! (the firmware) :icon14:
By the way, do you know if, as in previous version, it will be possible to apply the portuguese firmware in a french (pixmania) phone?
That way i could have portuguese language in phone

If it is a "generic" (not operator specific) version, then that may still be ok, but i am not 100%
Yes, is operator free.
Thanks

Thanks
What Kev meant is "if the
firmware is not opperator specific", not if the handset is not opperator specific.

Again, it's the normal pixmania (french).
In the previous firmware the portuguese one could be installed instead of the french.

No it's not third party related. Mine is free of any third party apps and locks itself within this reboot loop if i discharge it completely 😃
