Backing up whole MMC Card.

Hi, I just bought a new and bigger MMC Card, and I'd like to know how can I transfer the whole contents of the old one to the new one.

Is there a way of doing this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

There are two way which i have tried
1. Using Card Reader Copy all the Data Of Your MMC (Inculding Hidden Folders) and then Paste on Desktop, Insert new MMc and Paste all that folder in that one.
2. Back Up all the data inculding MMC with Nokia P.C Suite and then indtall new MMc and Restore the Data.( This Process may Taks Hours as vary from Data in Mmc and your Computer Speed)

Nice one. Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I intend to do the same thing to, ie. to transfer the concents of one RS-MMC to a higher capacity one. Using the card reader approach (as PC Suite does not work on my Windows Me), will I be able to transfer the NetFront and QuickOffice software etc. which came installed on the Nokia RS-MMC to the new memory card?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

If You Card Reader Able to read the card then u can.
But be sure that u have on the option of Show Hidden Folder in My Computer. And then u start Coping the MMC

Thanks. Will try. 😊

The answer is yes, it does copy all the apps and stuff. Just make sure that you tick the "View hidden files and folders" when copying the contents of the old MMC Card to the old one.

I've done it and it worked almost flawlessly. Why "almost"? Well, the only thing that it didn't keep was the layout of my menu, instead it showed all the apps that didn't come with the phone out of any folders, and I have to put them again into the folders. Apart from that, everything was fine.
