I'm having problems with this combination of hardware and software.
Attempting to run Nokia PC Suite for Nokia 3650 on my Macintosh G4 computer.
Virtual PC
Mac OS X
Nokia PC Suite
Nokia 3650
Belkin Bluetooth Adapter
At one time, this combination of software and hardware worked correctly.
Now, the Virtual PC Windows computer cannot "see" the Nokia 3650, and the Nokia 3650 cannot "see" the Virtual PC.
Also, Virtual PC is often crashing and freezing the Mac, so that only a hard reset on the Mac can fix it.
This is a big problem, please help!

... Why not just use all of the built-in Apple applications (iCal, AddressBook) with iSync? It does virtually everything the PC Suite does and it's all built right into OS X. No need to bother with all that Virtual PC and Windows bullflop.

I use iSync, Address Book and iCal, and you are correct- it works great and it is excellent.
However, there is one problem which PC Suite solves for me:
When I transfer files from Nokia 3650 to Mac via Bluetooth File Exchange, the date and time of the file changes to the time right now, instead of preserving the date and time of the file that was on the phone. For example, if you take a picture with the camera on Friday, then transfer the image to Mac on Monday, the image file on your Mac has Monday's date and time.
I need to preserve the original date and time for the image files, and so far, Nokia PC Suite lets me do that...
Hi,
I too am trying to connect to a Nokia 3650 via Nokia PC suite, Virtual PC and a built in Apple Bluetooth adapter on my PowerBook G4 - alum.
Any luck?
Alternatively, is there another way to transfer files to the 3650 into specific directories? I'd like to be able to upload my own .wav ringtones etc.
Thanks,
marco
By using an USB card reader, putting files there and then installing and running FExplorer (http://www.gosymbian.com/) on the phone to move them where ever you wish on it.
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion of FExplorer - I've installed the latest beta and have found the .wav file in my 'inbox' (sent via bluetooth) but can't seem to find anyway to move the file to the sounds directory. FExplorer doesn't seem to have any kind of documation and I've poked around at all the commands w/out seeing anything that is a 'move' command or something that can change the path/file location.
Thanks again.
cheers,
Marco
No move, but you can Options > Edit and then Cut & Copy.
But the .wav file doesn't show up as an available ring tone. I copied it to both the C:Nokia\Sounds\Simple and the Digital directory, but no luck.
I was under the impression that the 3650 could use .wav files as ringtones.
Cheers,
Marco

yeah, I can't seem to make it work. Still trying w/FExplore, but no luck. Anyone else have any success in d/l'ing custom .wav rings tones from a Mac?
Cheers,
