anyone know how to make my 7610 show caller ids when people call? currently it only shows their number rather than their name.

It typically means that the number is in contacts more than once, and the phone doesn't know which one to show, so it shows nothing.

If your operator is Orange, then it might be also due to peculiarities in their network.

Also depending on operator, no. stored in contacts must be in int'l dial format, i.e. incl. country/area codes.

From what I've seen, this seems to only depend on one operator: Orange.
