Hey guys i am a proud owner of the nokia 6600 but one day all was fine the phone was working perfect bla bla, and i put the 6600 in my ruksack, i later took it out to make a phone call but it had switched itself off so i tried to switch it on but there was nothin after repeated trys and still nothing i thought the battery had just died, so when i got home i plugged the charger in, but instead of the screen lighting up and the charging battery icon in the top corner coming up there was nothing at all. So now i have a nokia 6600 that doesnt switch on or charge at all. I was wondering if anyone can give me help on this?

Thanks alot for any replys

:con?

i had the same problem a cople of days ago, the only solution i found was to formatt the mobile by pressing three keys(no.3, the green and the pen) and then switch on the mobile while still pressing them..
i hope that helpes you.. 😎

I had a similar issue with one of my 6600s.

My problem was that the battery had completely discharged. Because the battery is a smart battery that communicates its status, it needs to have some charge to let the phone know that its attached (or something like that).

I ended up hooking it up (just the battery) to a constant current source (via a desktop power supply) for a couple of minutes (don't do it too long, or else it will stuff up the battery). This gave it enough charge to enable the phone to charge the battery.

Hope this helps!
