Connecting 7610 to USB crashes computer

Ever since I installed XP SP2, my computer often crashes when I connect my 7610. I believe that I have the latest software:

Nokia PC Suitge 6.4.8
Nokia 7610 USB driver 5.2.13.7

My firmware version is v 4.4021.4 22-05-04 RH-51.

Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

Mike

PC might have USB hardware problems. If you get a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), what does it say?

I have a Prob. I am Using Orignal Win Xp and using Service Pack 1 and I install the latest version of the Driver i.e DKU-2 from the site and using 6.4 P.C suite
i am not able to connect via UsB.
i have indtall the driver but when i connet the phone it says "New Hadware Found" and instlll automatically and then again"New Hardware Found"

It will do the "New Hardware Found" cycle for five or six times (the driver providers support for several interfaces and Windows Plug&Pray detects all of them one-by-one, unfortunately). So, do it for as many times as needed, until you see the message that says "your hardware is ready for use" (or something like that).

same happend with me today when i install 6.4 took around 5 or 6 times to detect drivers and all..

Yes, same happened to me. But there is no separate DKU-2 driver available, it is included in 6.4. Also I got lot of Event Log errors - Nokia USB Phone Parent caused low level driver error. To avoid this error, before disconnecting the phone, open connection manager and uncheck usb.
