6260 bugs/annoyances

After having used my 6260 phone for a week, I've decided I love it 😊
However there are some annoyances in the software I've noticed:
- In low signal areas I get "Sim card registration failed" then says "Phone will restart" then it tries to restart and crashes
- I occassionally got "please insert sim" errors
- When creating a sms message it doesn't automatically go into Alpha mode by default, I have to manually switch it every time
- The phone goes into camera mode too easily when going from phone to browse mode
- Messages from people display as LastName FirstName even though my contacts are displayed at FirstName LastName
- Can't use other icon packs supplied with other themes

Has anyone else experienced this or any other problems?

I'm using v 3.0436.0 03-09-04 Rm-25

i dont get the sim errors or the sms/alpha mode thing, but i get the others. also i notice that if you have the phone in normal open mode and create an mms, then go insert new image, the camera app starts with an envelope icon in the top left, rotate the screen into image mode, and the camera opens again with the camera icon, and then says "camera already in use". you then have to rotate back to open or browse position so that you can exit from camera and leave the "insert new image camera" running. annoying to say the least.

also the poor 480 x 320 resolution pictures taken in "camera mode" kinda defeats the object of having the rotating screen. browse mode and open/work mode both produce 640 x 480. :frown:

ps, same firmware

I get the same mms problem actually. The sms problem was actually that when composing a message and it asks who I want to send it to, it defaults to inputting the phone number instead of the name of the contact, ie number mode instead of alpha mode. Seems pretty silly since most people would want to find names instead of manually typing in numbers
