Anybody tested TomTom Mobile on any other Symbian S60 devices than
the Nokia 6600 ??

I am planning to go for the Nokia 3230, 6630 or the upcoming 6680,
but need to know that TomTom Mobile works before I decide.

TomTom refuses to say anything about which other S60 devices that
will run TomTom Mobile.

I've got tomtom mobile working on my nokia 6630 and it's so cool.

I'm trying to let it work the program on the p900 sony!

If anybody can help me... I've got the programs, the map... where do I have to put it??? I need that!

Bye

Hey,

What size DV RS MMC do you have? Also where did you get it if it's larger than 64mb?

TomTom maps alone are 100mb+, well it is for the UK anyway.

Hey,

Minimum your gonna need is a 256mb RS MMC to fit just TomTom on.
When I had my 6600 I brought a 512mb RS MMC (with the view to using it on my 6630 when I got it, until I saw the DV part) onto which I installed both TomTom & UK map along with Route66 & it's UK map also.
With this setup I still had a lot of room left to store other things to.

This is why I am curious with the 6630 as so far there is no larger DV RS MMC available other than the 64mb Nokia one.

I've just got Tom Tom working with a 7610. All I had to do was transfer all the stuff from the regular MMC to a RS MMC (512meg - 40 odd from amazon), plugged it in, worked first time.

Although I haven't gone anywhere yet. But the GPS seems to be working fine, route-finding is working, I don't know what could go wrong at this stage 😊

Does tomtom mobile work with the N-Gage QD?

I have route 66 which works a treat, but I have heard good things about tomtom and its additional features, e.g. speed camera database..

I have successfully installed it on my Nokia 7610, adding the Australian map.

However, the only problem I'm experiencing is finding a sufficient number of satelites within the shortest time possible ...

Atm, it's taking 2~4 minutes to find 3 or 4 ...

Hi guys, my 1st post!.....
I have recently purchased a Nokia N73 (S60 v3) which runs Tomtom Mobile 6.2 with a seperate Tomtom Bluetooth Receiver, works fine!, also a friend has the N95, which has GPS built in, i also managed to get the same Tomtom package running on the N95 but NOT using the built in GPS receiver, a 3rd party Bluetooth GPS unit was purchased.......
