Right. After ages of trying to decide if i should get a sendo x, i have got one, used it for a week and a half, and now trying to decide if i should send it back.
What started this doubt was the bugs in the phone. There are small little problems, then there was the important phone calls i have missed over the last week. This may be fixed in a future firmware, but i need it working now. For a 300 phone, I at least need to make and recieve phone calls!
Also i hate the way the sendo looks theme wise, and sendo havent got the theme editor done yet, or know if they will let us have it!
Then there is usability. It just doesnt work as well as a phone as my k700i. Things are well thought out on the k700, and respond well, where as teh sendo x feels v slow, and some functions are a pain.
The only reason Im thinking about keeping the sendo is that its a smartphone, but there just isnt many useful apps that run on it. The basic calander, contacts ect on teh k700 are very good, and teh other stuff on the sendo, i dont really need. the only thing si have found that would be nice is the web browser is better, and wayfinder gps and mobile blogging sotware is cool. But I would be better off sending the phone back and buying a gps, and just blogging when i get to a computer. There just doesnt seem much point using this phone as a pda, as there isnt much software. i have a sony clie, and its a thousand times better as a pda.
So it looks like im getting rid of teh sendo, and back to using my se k700i and my sony clie. its more to carry around but i dont need a pda all the time and teh k700 at least is a good phone.
Thanks for trying though Sendo, I hope you have better luck next time!
