Something really Freaky! BUG?!?!

14 replies · 2,414 views · Started 02 December 2004

.

I just found this out yesterday, although it does not pose a risk to using the phone.

Go into your Camera, point it at your monitor (assuming it's bright), press VoiceSignal (lonely button usually never used) and wave your camera while viewing your screen.

You should notice your camera image seeps throught the graphics and text of VoiceSignal.

This is very strange! It is even scary for the first time.... but now since I told you.... it shouldn't be.

😃

LoL now people are complaining that there phone DOESN'T have a bug... How the tides have turned 😃

Saying that, i tried and could not get it to work also 😊

I have given up using the camera long time ago, it's useless...

Red and blury pictures, I am embarrased showing the pictures taken
with my Sendo X to my friends...

It seems a lot better in release 60. Have you updated yours yet?

I understand what you mean, but actually (this is the quirky part) you have to wait several seconds for the camera to adjust to the light... indoor lighting (tungsten) takes a bit change the digital filter which the camera decides to choose what white space you'll be dealing with. When you are with your friends, don't expect to catch fast action snaps with your Sendo X.... just look at Omegax picture... he took the time to stand, compose, & then.... snap! By default, the Sendo X is outdoor ready. How can you get feel for the adjustment the Sendo X camera feature? Just point it at a white wall indoors, with your indoor light on, and watch the reddish tone in your white wall disappear, and when it does... SNAP!.... if it is too bright, expect to over exposure which will of course wash out all your detail.

The obvious down side is the color bleeds through neighboring pixels.... 'enhancing' the pixelation.... never a good thing. Still the overall hue is somehow influenced by static red tone in all pics. I think this is to enhance skintone. I feel sendo should use the 'edit' button for quick snaps, since that is hardly ever used and it takes at least ten seconds to get to the camera and setup shot.... that is if there is no traffic on your phone since the interface is slow and sucky.

I think that you'll find that most camera phones prefer the outdoor lighting condition because of the abundance of natural light, the camera doesnt have to compensate for many different shades and tones and the result of different lighting conditions.

Here is a picture i took indoors under a white light, with a light tone carpet, and white cat:

Still not red and blotchy. Yes its a bit pixilated, but even pictures on 1meg camera phones are when blown shown at 100% ive found.
