i have a problem with my father's 9500 that i'm testing because i would buy a 9300.. It needs 7 minutes to open an .xls of about 600KB! is it normal? what are your experencies? do you think that is a normal time also for a palmone device?

No luck! It really takes too long if you open a file that big. Even if its just a few kbs more than 100kb. The conversion process just takes too long. I would suggest though that after you opened a large .xls file, you save it as an epoc/app file to make it open faster (the resulting file is larger though.).
