Whan i put my ngage on it shows the white screen then goes off. When i try and charge the phone it doesent show the screen with the battery charging

I guess you've got the dreaded white screen of death! That happened to me once.
One possible reason is that you overloaded your phone's built-in memory. Mine happened when I have atleast 300kb left of free internal memory in my phone.
I have my phone fixed. They fixed it by re-installing the firmware. Consequently, all its contents were erased. The result: like you bought a new phone! Because everythings lost and turned back into their default settings... Atleast the problem was only its software. It would cost you more if the problem is in the hardware!
Anyway, the lesson here is STOCK-UP your applications, softwares, pictures, video's etc... onto your MMC card. Or you could always back-up your phone's content, just in case the dreaded white screen of death comes back again!!!
