I have had a time problem also,

a couple of times my phone has actually ;ost minutes,

The first was when my phone froze once and I lost 16 minutes after I took the battery off to reboot (for the millionth time)

The second time was when the alarm woke me up in the morning and 47 minutes had disapeared and I missed a train to the airport

Now I have either been abducted by aliens, or my smartass phone is actually a dumbass phone (I know which option I will go for)

As you can guess, I dont use the alarm clock function anymore, another nail in the coffin for Sendo

How about my smartass phone (FRENCH 50C) does always log the callers I receive and calls I make..... I answer a call to conversate for a bit, then end it with no update in the logs.... with the phone freezing still on some calls answered or dialed. You might want to make a smarter move and use a nail gun... there is a lot of nailing to do.

Its your lucky day - I did it. I used my webspace from my ISP and this may not be great, so I used Winrar to spit the files up into 5MB parts. There are severn parts and you will need winrar to un-rar it.

hmm now that i got the 60 fw, i cant install it on my x😞 i turned of norton, and the windows firewwall but still when i try updatin the x the program tells me it cant detect the x and that i should take the usb wire out, reconnect it and stuff. i didnt have this problem the first time i updated the x (fw50). xp detects my x perfectly with the mrouter suite but when i put my phone in download mode it doesnt work, on the x screen it even gives me the green signs, but when i try updatin it, theres a red dot blinkin next to the pc thingy on the x screen, then the usb thingy on the small pc monitor on the x screen goes red then back to green.
anybody have any clue whats up with this and how i can fix it??????

would you be good enough to do the same with the Portugese f/w also, I have a french phone and the portugese f/w works but I am on dial-up and I have the same problem with the download crashing all the time

Cash, you're using French Version, right? Is it really worth the upgrade with Portuguese f/w? Is everything intact after the update? Can you install other third party software, or at least any current third party softs still intact ? Is the interface snappier?

I have to wait a FULL 10 seconds just to check my logs if I have a missed call.

Does the phone really work as a phone? I just don't want anymore headaches... 😊

I will let you know later today after I have installed the f/w, to be honest if it improves the call/test reception and the conectivety problems I will be happier and at least be able to use it as a phone untill something better comes out next year.

My phone is also dead slow, I cant understand why a phone with all the extra co-processors can be one of the slowest phones on the market, in fact judging by the spmark results it is the slowest phone, which has really pi**ssed me off because I bought this phone believing that it was something special and powerfull and fast,

Mine is like a Porche with a mini engine in it, I think the advertising guys have a lot to answer for in this case, maybe if the phone was released on time (over 12 months ago) all the advertising stuff would have been correct then, but as the phone was release 8 months late, I dont think the advertising guys updated their specs and so many new phones overtook the X in the speed stakes, that has been proven.

ok Cash.... I got impatient and went ahead with it. You won't believe what I did. I gave my sendo a COMPLETE rub down. I dissasembled it (again)... Dusted off everything, used a de-oxidizer called R5 Power Booster on ALL my contacts.... this means my mic, earpiece battery, sim, etc. Cleaned the LCD with special detailer, then air blasted the parts to be put back together. All this meanwhile downloading the Portuguese f/w .... I even masked the screen off to give it a good polish. My phone is good as new! After installing my new f/w 60D, I used the clear memory '5' key at startup, restored from my memory card, then tested the phone for 1 hour... making and receiving calls, checking for voice quality, signal, internet, etc. Everything is tip top!

Only thing that I can think of is my operator text still displays Cingular even though I have t-mobile. But at least my phone works! I even waited for the signal to die out which was only for a few seconds and during that time I attempted to make a call, and guess what.... my call did not disconnect, the call was placed and then connected 4 seconds later without kicking me off. That is a whole lot better!

I will now be testing the receiving call function while in mp3. I don't know if this ever worked properly because my phone was such a wreck that I know I never received a call while in mp3 mode and, I never cared to attempt it. Hope I receive my messages faster, this will take a few days get the full effect of my changes....

I will keep you guys posted!

oh... and about keeping the dust out the screen, I will be lining the border of the screen with di-electric grease!

Doesn't opening your phone void the warrenty? Are there any warrenty seals or anything so that Sendo know if you have opened it or not?

Yes he has invalidated his warranty. He should have sent to an authorised service centre to get it checked.
As for displaying cingular instead of tmobile - is it a USA tmobile SIM incorrectly showing cingular, has he tested sim in another phone and seen what network ID is displayed? Has he then tried to put SIM back in Sendo X and checked with network provider tmobile what network he is registering on at the moment it occurs as i think some smaller networks in the USA allow roaming onto the main USA networks when out of coverage but i wasnt aware of one of the main networks allowing this with another main network. Anyway tmobile can check the HLR and VMSC to confirm the PLMN code of the network switch they are registering on.
PS remember sendo havent completed testing with networks in the USA yet

well i couldnt update my x thru usb( i have no idea why) so i downloaded the mmc update from ftp.talkabout.de (username>>> gast, password>>> passwort) and installed the four files on my mmc, turned on my x and voila it started updatin my x, was done within 10mins or less. i read on a german forum that this update works with all x versions. so if anybody had the same probs i had then they can download it from this ftp site( the download didnt crash either😃 )
anyways my x sure seems faster, i noticed that the now screen displays 65000 colors , u can skip to the next song b4 5secs, hmm the beep sound is still there when i call somebody.
hmm whatelse,, yeah that annoyin turn on and turn off sound is still there. hmm basically i have no idea how come it takes sendo 2 months to just fix these problems?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! do they have only one guy workin there or somethin?????? also what makes me mad is that almsot all the games i downloaded and installed dont have sound(even the stupid pinball game dont have sound)

hmm whatelse?? it still takes my x around 5 seconds to play a song in its slow ass mp3 player, hellooo i thought its gotta 120mhz cpu and wait a sound processor and what was it a super graphic processor!! i am startin to wonder if it really has all this stuff, maybe sendo just lied to us people!!
how do those dust particles get underneath my screen?!!?! i have around 10 or more of those , i even have a screen protector but somehow the dust particles keep gettin more and more. if i was livin in the middle of the desert then i would have understood why!

NO seals.... no worries. I wouldn't want to send it to sendo anyway. I am technically inclined, and make changes that work. Remember when things break AFTER your warranty? Yeah, things are meant to be that way to generate money but if you make the right changes yourself, expect to not fall for the manufacturers dream. Hope some understand. If you have shady skills or think you have skills, don't do it. I do NOT let anyone do my mechanic work, upgrades, or purchases. All my life I took things and made them better, much better. Oh and it really pays off. I even catch flaws in products early enough before something goes wrong. That is good.
