Well bluetooth has been working perfect for quite some time then it just suddenly stopped working giving the error "The requested address is not valid in its context".

Ive tried everything, uninstalled, installed again about 3 times. All settings etc, pretty damn stuck as to what todo here.

Thanks for any help.

Hi..I have just installed this dongle.

took me hours to get it running...

You are using it with PC suite ? .

The one that came with your Phone.in the box that the 6600 came with ..on the CD.

apparently, we're having the same problem.
am using a billionton bluetooth usb device

my configuration is as follows.
windows sp2 - with online updates (current ones)
office 2003 - updated
pc suite - latest version

can anyone help us please?
is this bug because of the sp2 or the latest pc suite?

plus, i cannot send a file to my mobile phone, and pc.

I am using SP2, and new PC. For the first time I am trying to use my 6600 with a bluetooth dongle. I have loaded the 6600 software, and can transfer files from the PC to the mobile but not the other way around, getting the message there are too many bluetooth devices in operation. And yet the taskbar icon says it is connected. Tried everything.

Here's the fix for this problem and it DOES work. Windows xp sp2 still forces the xp drivers to be used if you follow the instructions on Widicom software. To get round it, do this:-

Remove bluetooth software and restart computer.

Insert your bluetooth driver disk and NOT the dongle, during the install process, the software asks for you to insert your bluetooth device, DONT, just click cancel and the install will continue. When the install has finished, then insert your dongle. Next, go to device manager, you will see something like "bluetooth radio device" this is WRONG!, choose update driver and browse the bluetooth cd, for the drivers. When done properly, the device manager entry should say something like "CSR Bluetooth device" To stop windows trying to reinstall the xp driver, go to windows/inf find a file called "bth.inf" and rename it to "bth.inf.old"

You will sometimes find though that when you start the maching from cold that your bluetooth icon in system tray is blue and red instead of blue and white. Just unplug your dongle from the USB socket and plug it back in.

That should sort it for you.
